This kind of looks like one of those cheesy Thomas (The painter of Light) Kinkcaid paintings, doesn't it? I'll attempt to keep you updated on the court proceedings between his mistress and his estranged wife as they battle over his estate. Thomas had a habit of chasing valium with booze and it finally caught up with him. Broke the hearts of tens of thousands of "art lovers" in towns big and small all across Amurika.
This is really a shot of the wildfires in Colorado. Colorado Congressmen: Rep. Scott Tipton (R -3d CD), Rep. Cory Gardner (R-4th CD), Rep, Mike Coffman (R-6th CD). Tea Baggers all, voted for the Paul (Hey, let's gut America, just for the hell of it) Ryan Budget in congress. Which would slash federal programs that help states deal with disasters like this. The three of them are now begging the federal government for cash (?) and help in fighting the fires. Hey guys, maybe if enough of your constituents homes burn down, their cattle get barbecued and they experience mudslides after the next rain, they'll wise up and not vote for asshats like you.
On to my former Governor Mitt Romney.
This is Mitt Romney, he is the presumptive Republican nominee for President. Mitt has been speaking about a bunch of things lately. First he got in an argument with actual teachers in Philly over class size, Mitt tossed out some BS that class size doesn't matter, of course the teachers handed Mitt his ass and he split. Mitt had said classes should be around 40 students! Great press op Mitt!
These guys, Mitt's 5 boys, went to a prep school that advertises that "all classes have 12 or fewer students".
The young Romneys, all "successful young business men" were given a little help by their Dad. So they could get started in life....$100,000,000 worth of help. Eldest son, Tagg got another $10,000,000 from his daddy. Mitt also handed him his Rolodex and got his old partners from Bain to toss in more millions. Tagg started his own venture fund and guess what? He invested in a solar company partially backed with federal funding. That runs in the family, when Tagg's dad "saved" the Winter Olympics after the crooked "businessmen" in Salt Lake looted the games and got indicted. Mitt swooped in and saved the day with 2 billion in federal funds.
Take a look at this picture. Not one of these people will EVER have to worry about paying the electric bill, worry about the price of gas, how to wrangle a business loan, pay for health insurance or go a day in their lives just a little hungry. Of course they completely understand how America works. For them! You can project this scenario for generations into the future. As nice as they all look, clean cut, happy, all American....they don't have a clue. Mitt and Ann suffered as a young married couple in college, they had to live off the stock Mitt's Dad gave him.
Mitt has produced his own Mormon Stake, think what he could have done if polygamy hadn't been outlawed and his grandpa wouldn't have had to move to Mexico so he could hang onto all those sister wives.
Mitt has a habit of saying "Obama spent too much time at Harvard". Mitt went to school at Harvard longer than the president did and he sent all 5 of his sons there.
Later...

Republican Panties in a Twist (again)
| Mariela Castro Espin |
Marela Castro Espin (Raoul's daughter, Fidel's niece) was granted a visa to speak at a conference in New York. Here's what your presidential candidate had to say about the visa: Mitt accused the Obama administration of “a slap in the face to all those brave individuals in Cuba who are en...during relentless persecution.”
Here is what the usual Republican suspects had to say: Florida Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), David Rivera (R-FL) and Albio Sires (R-NJ) wrote a strongly-worded letter to the State Department saying:
"The administration’s appalling decision to allow regime agents into the U.S. directly contradicts Congressional intent and longstanding U.S. foreign policy."
If it’s “longstanding U.S. foreign policy” to deny Mariela Castro a visa to enter the U.S., someone forgot to tell President George W. Bush. The Bush administration granted Castro not one but three visas to enter the U.S. in 2001 and 2002.
Oh, that's right, Republicans have no recollection of George W. Bush!

Mitt was a terrible governor (and a jerk)
This is Mitt Romney. He was my governor once upon a time. He has been running for office since 1992. He is a professional politician.
He is not an outsider. He has never been a businessman or as he likes to say a "job creator". He was and is a Venture Capitalist, not a banker. Bain Capital isn't a bank and Mitt wasn't a nice, friendly banker that you might meet at the local Vet's Club on Friday night.
Romney appears to know what he is talking about until the moment he is asked a question that is not been pre-scripted. In his run for Ted Kennedy's Senate seat in the early 90's Mitt was doing fine, he was even ahead in the polls until he met a very vulnerable Ted Kennedy in a live debate at Fanuel Hall. Romney fell apart and lost the election, Teddy kicked his ass, big time. Mitt is not fast on his feet.
Massachusetts has always elected moderate Republican Governors, guys like Frank Sergeant, Bill Weld, Paul Celluci and many, many others, that's what we thought we were getting with Mitt. We didn't.
Mitt began running for president about 15 minutes after he was elected governor. He would get on a plane go somewhere in one of the Confederate States and refute everything he'd told the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. When his comments were reported, he'd say he didn't say them, when video was produced he'd say that wasn't what he meant and then he stopped talking. Mitt is a liar.
Mitt did something else, no governor had ever done in the Commonwealth, he made the the governor's offices off limits to anyone who wasn't on his list. There were velvet ropes in the hallway and big burly security guards posted. Gone were the days when a Democratic Senate President could stick his head in the door of the Governor's office, walk in, sit down and solve a problem. Didn't happen with Mitt.
Every campaign stop Mitt rolls out this lie. "I balanced the budget when I was governor, every year for 4 years." (notice no mention of which state he governed) The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has a constitutional requirement to balance the budget and has since it was an English Colony. The budget has been balanced every year since then. Mitt is inept.
The Commonwealth leads the nation in education, lowest divorce rate, has a solid modern economy and the best health care with the highest percentage of coverage in the country. And 'Taxachusetts" is around 14th in tax rates out of 50. Its a pretty good place to live and work and one would think that a former governor would be proud of that, Mitt isn't.
We got hip to Mitt's act very quickly, after a year in office his approval ratings were in the 30's. Mitt is a jerk.

I deal with these people so you don't have to!
One of my neighbors functions as surrogate for my winger bro
in law, he keeps me sharp since my winger bro in law and I no longer speak. I
have long since stopped worrying about why my sister married him, I’m
comfortable with the fact she wanted to raise his daughters, she did a great
job and that’s that!
Back to my neighbor, from time to time he ambushes me at the
mailbox and wants to start talking politics and I’m happy to oblige. The other
day it was how Obama stopped the Keystone XL pipeline with his radical,
environmental agenda. No doubt he picked this up from listening to Rush, Hannity,
Bill Handel and John and Ken on KFI radio (the station for angry, yet, very frightened
white males) since he had all the talking points memorized. Gas prices up
because of Obama, he won’t let us drill, baby, drill, we’ve got plenty of oil
if only Obama would let us drill, baby, drill. Gingrich promised 2 dollar gas,
so did Romney, the Kenyan usurper won’t let us, drill, baby, drill.
When he stopped for a moment to wipe the spittle from his
frothing mouth, I jumped in with a few questions for the red faced, shit bag
weasel.
Who actually stopped the Keystone XL? Wasn’t Obama, it was the
state of Nebraska refusing to permit the pipeline and why the refusal? Because
the farmers and ranchers don’t want it built over the Ogallala Reservoir, most
of them are probably Republicans.
The XL will carry Canadian oil. Oil owned by Canadian companies and is not targeted at the American market. All the Canadians want is a warm water port so they can sell the Canadian oil on the world market. Canadian oil doesn’t belong to us, understand?
If the asshats running for the Republican nomination think
we are ever going to see two dollar gasoline again, there is only one way to do
it and that’s nationalize the oil business. Is that going to happen?
As far as drill, baby drill goes, we now have more wells
pumping and under development in this country than we have had in decades. And
the vast majority of the leases have been let by this administration.
Like my winger bro in law, the facts never penetrate his bubble. Nor do answers come from his leering mouth.
I do miss my bro in law’s thesis that all the oil from the dead dinosaurs in the Bakken formation in North Dakota is there because of Red State politics and good, hardworking
people!
Conveniently forgetting that Bakken was a government geologist and the technology that allows deep shale recovery was developed using government research grants.
